My Little Wild Indians

They were out of plastic bags at Winco, so we decided to make the best of the paper bags by making Indian costumes. Amberlee is "Talking Turtle" and Autumn is "Little Bunny". This Squa loves her little Indians.

This is just to say...

I just ate the most delicious plum ever! (All my memories of plums have been a little bitter, because of the peel.) I wish I could have shared it with you, but between me and the girls, we had it wiped out in about 5 seconds flat! So go find a plum today! It made me think of this poem:

This Is Just To Say
by William Carlos Williams

I have eaten
the plums
that were in
the icebox

and which
you were probably
saving
for breakfast

Forgive me
they were delicious
so sweet
and so cold
(And my brother Abe because he wrote a song about William Carlos Williams. :)

Won't you be my Neighbor?

The girls have made some good friends next door! There are two cute little girls that have already dressed them up and made promises of barbies etc. I think the girls will have fun with that! We had a picnic outside yesterday! Good times! I am grateful to have good neighbors... at least on one side. :)

The other side has already given us a few "through the wall" concerts at 3AM with their rock band. (It wouldn't be so bad if they could actually play.) The literal lyrics to one of their songs (This is what I heard through the wall):
"I am special. What the he** am I doing here? I don't belong here."
Can you say, wow? How about that for talent! :) Anyway- between that, guitar hero, and the cigarette smoke... I guess we're just keepin' it real here in Moscow... opposition in all things right? :) Good missionary opportunities right? (As long as I can keep my cool at 3AM)

Doug's First Day of School...

I just love this man! I am so proud of him! He just started classes yesterday. He said they went really well. (you know how much guys elaborate. :) But I think he enjoys the campus and he said his classes are in a great spot. He came home completely soaked yesterday because it rained in the afternoon. I think he will do well though, and I just hope he knows he has a cheering squad of at least three gals! :) Go Daddy Go!

The Lentil Festival...

Something tells me we're not in Rexburg anymore... :)

Today we went with some new friends to the Lentil Festival... who knew? Well... now you know. :) It was pretty fun! They had a parade and lots of fun booths. Pretty cool- maybe you can come visit for next years. :)

Praise the Day!!!!

So... these little beauties have made my life so much more simple! They were given to us by a friend and I just praise the day! Anyone who has been without and has children... or maybe even not, can definitely appreciate life with a washer and dryer! Thanks Greens!!!!

A little bored perhaps...

These little stinkers! They showed up with writing all over themselves! (We couldn't have but laugh and snap a few pictures, but it better not happen again! :)

The front of our new home...

Well, this is it. Our new little home! We're finally getting things all put together here. I am loving the tree we have in front. It gives us some really good shade and a bit of privacy up-stairs.

I'm really grateful for the the fence in front because we are right by a busy road.

New Home...

Gotta love those Kings- they're great to sleep on, but as you can see, they take up a lot of space. :)
The "Nusery"- this is where the girls play- Doug did a good job of putting it all together!
The girls room- they love their new beds! My in-laws gave us some frames and cute headboards. They call them the "Princess beds" or "Mary Poppin's beds"

The lovely bathroom... :)
