Now We Are Six...

My little Love Chubs is now a six-month-old! Where does the time go? He is so grown up now- it is all just a flash! He is so much fun and his smile melts my heart! (He really is happy as long as he has someone to smile at. --Thank goodness for the girls! :) And thanks for passing on the dimples Poppa Scott! We couldn 't do without them!!! :)

Quilting Bee...

I'm finally posting a few of my summer projects. I have had so much fun learning to sew and particularly making quilts. I'm no pro, but I'm enjoying it! This first one, I made for my niece Lila Lou. I tried a new thing with apliquing the flower on- it was fun!

This is actually a tabel runner my mother in law made for a neighbor, but it turned out so nice, I had to post it.

My little sister and I had fun putting this one together for Lila. It is SO soft and snuggly! She did a cute lamb theme in her nursery. It turned out really cute!

They hung the quilt I made them on the wall. I'm not sure whether to be flattered or embarrased- it is far from perfect! Hope she'll snuggle in it someday! :)

Quilting Bee...

I made a two table runners with some fabric my mom had. One was for my Grandma Alma. I had fun piecing them together!

This was a blanket I made for my friend Jessica. She has a precious girl on the way. I am learning how to use my darning foot to hold the quilt together. It is harder then you think! I make a ton of mistakes, but they are made with love! :) It is sort of like doodling on fabric. :)

Quilting Bee...

This is a blanket I made for little Ruby. I know Chelsea loves poka-dots and this fabric just screamed her name to me. Chels is such a good seamstress so I was a little nervous on this one, but my sister in law, Catherine, was SO helpful and we figured it out from a fun patterned called "Turning 20" I guess you could call this "Turning 6" because of the 6 rotating squares.

Hello Ruby Tuesday...

Was anything ever so sweet! I now have two new nieces! Little Ruby Romney showed her pretty little face on September 14th. Isn't she perfect? It is killing me that I can't give her a squeeze! All that hair just melts my heart! She's a little miracle!

A quick trip down the long dirt lane, home...

This was the lane I walked down every day to catch the school bus- it always seemed SO LONG back then!

I was so lucky this last week to take a trip with the kids home! When I found out my little sister was in labor with Lila Lou I just knew I had to meet her, and there was a Literature Conference I was really wanting to attend anyway. It was such a fun trip! I love the fall and harvest time! Espcially with my mom and dad! I felt so spoiled to have them all to myself. Some nights it was just us watching Andy Griffeth or the Dick Van Dyke Show and munching on pop-corn. (That never happens with just me!) We bottled beans, chicken, and pork. (I know that sounds funny to do meat, but it tastes delicious!) And we walked almost every day. (Mom is such a good example to me of being active!) We had so many good talks- it was just a fun visit! I'm so lucky to have such good parents!

Mom and I had a ton of fun attending the Children's Literature Conference and BYU-I! It was so good. I got to hear Lois Lowry (author of the Giver and Number the Stars) and Eric Rohmann (Author and Illustrator of My Friend Rabit and Time Flies) speak. They were fabulous! I also went to some other fun workshops about publishing and illustrating. I was really excited about what I learned, and to get so much fun background information about the books.

The trip there was so smooth! The kids were great and we made good time. The trip back was another story! The girls threw up 4 times, Seth had three blow-outs, lots of screaming and eating, and I got gas in Butte at a "pay inside" station, and in my haste to clean up the throw up, I forgot to pay, got 20 minutes down the road and had to turn back. It almost took me 12 hours to get home. Needless to say, it was a long drive- but there was lots of fun at home to make it worth it! :) It is good to be home though- I missed Doug!

Seth is crawling!

My parents had a whole herd of deer in the feild in front of their house. They live in such a fun place! The girls and I just sat and watched them for a long time!

Grandma and Grandpa's House...

My mom was so patient with my girls and their messes! She just has so many fun things in the Grandma Box- the girls were in heaven!

Seth is sitting up and crawling now! He is my big boy!!!

Momma's Famous Crepes...

It was fun to see Momma and Poppa Stewart, Aunt Christy, Uncle Steve, Dominick and Aunt Goo!

Poppa Scott gave a cute family night about leaving our nets to follow the savior and being fishers of men. The cools were quite facinated by the net. :)

Mother May I?

My cousins Ruffin and Liz have the cutest girls! We have fun visiting with them, and the girls had a blast playing together.

The girls had so much fun playing "Mother May I?" with Liz. She was so cute with them!

Get Togethers...
