Shave and a hair cut, two bits...

We decided it was time for Seth to have his 1st hair cut. It was pretty good about it, but not terribly thrilled. All in- he looks pretty handsome (as long as you don't look too close- I wasn't able to do my best work with the screaming thowing off my groove. :)

A great idea...

The other day, Grandma looked out the window to find Amberlee riding around with Grandpa's motorcycle helmet. She thought it was a pretty good idea.

Autumn tried it too, and she ended up falling over- a little top heavy! :)

Seth's First Bite...

...with a lot of help from sisters, and not a big hit. Perhaps we'll give it some more time. :)

Horse Rides and the Ultimate Water Fight...

Can you tell Autumn is put out that it isn't her on the horse?

This was hilarious! Doug's cousins were up for the weekend and some of the neighbor kids came over and they even got Grandma (Shower cap included) and Aunt Catherine involved in this amazing water fight. It lasted several hours and Sweet Amberlee hung in there with the best of them. She was a trooper! Fun summer days!

Confessions....

Ok... so I usually try to avoid "fads" and Harry Potter was something I really avoided for a long time. I actually just finished the 7th book a few months ago. I just sort of want to wait for it not to be so "popular" or to see if it can stand the test of time and become, "classic".... therefore, I'm usually pretty late to jump on the bandwagon. But, I have a confession to make....

...Doug and I had a lot of fun at the midnight showing for Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. I picked him up tickets for Father's Day a month ago (two of the last tickets by the way). We were there with the die-hard fans, most of which came dressed in "Harry" attire. I felt out of place with out a lightning bolt scare! We waited in line for almost 2 hours. I made the mistake of bringing a cooking magazine to read, and I had to go get a hamburger at Jack-in-the-Box I was so hunger! :) We rolled into our beds at 4am and both decided, there is a first and a last time for everything. :) It was really fun and we thought the movie was pretty good, but I'm still trying to recover from the lack of sleep. Go HP! :)

Blow-Out of the Century!!!!

I know this probably isn't very blog appropriate, but I just have to take a picture of this one, it was SO BAD!!! I had no warning- it was on my pants and EVERYWHERE- front and back. It was just crazy! This is not the first time either! Crazy!

...And Amberlee still wants to have one of her own when she grows up!? :) She was being so funny the other day, saying that she was going to have a baby.

A Tree House...

Grandpa Stewart has been growing trees in the back yard with the specific intent of building a tree house for the grandkids someday. Well- the big day came this last weekend! He, Doug, and Catherine got to work. It is going to be really cool and the girls are thrilled. The both asked me if they could live in the tree house forever. They did NOT want to come down! Perhaps we'll become the "Swiss Family Robinsons", I mean "Stewarts," and just end up living in a tree house in the back yard! :)

Slick as a whistle....

The girls have had a fin time running through sprinklers and jumping on the tramp!

Grandma loves go get Seth all slicked up. He looks pretty handsome doesn't he?!
Then there is Autumn. :) I had to take this picture because I want to remember this little face forever! It makes me laugh every time I see it!

A Walk Through the Gardens...

We enjoyed a fun Sunday walk through the University gardens. It is so pretty. A nice way to spend the afternoon!

An All-Amberican 4th of July!!!

We enjoyed an All-American 4th of July this year, starting with a traditional parade, a family BBQ, a minor league baseball game, a fireworks display, and some all-American traffic on the way home! All we needed was a little bit of Apple Pie and it doesn't get more American then that! :) It was a fun day!
We had a fun time watching for Grandma and Grandpa- they were driving a float.
Seth had the right idea during the parade! Hide in the shade and hang on to the candy basket! :)
Momma Stewart made this yummy dessert- I'll post the recipe on my cooking blog when I get the chance!
