Rock-Rock On!!!

Check out how excited this boy gets to jam out! (I promise we don't always listen to rowdy music- Doug put on some up-beat music while we were cleaning and this just tickled me to watch Seth!) Rock-Rock-On!!!
Seth cracks me up- he knows cameras now and he anticipates a big flash- I thought these were hilarious, because he was so squinty preparing for a flash. :) This boy just delights me!

Spring has sprung!

Last week we walked Doug to class- I love the feel of Spring! I think the girls do to-- they couldn't wait to run through the field and find any newly blooming flowers.

Silly Girls...

Don't you just love the little messes! They always pick the most convenient spots- like in front of the door, or at the foot of the stairs. The girls LOVE it when I spin them on the computer chair. They think it is a Disney Land ride. :)
You can tell our cute neighbor friends have boys- they are so fun and made a mud pile for them... and Amberlee just couldn't resist jumping in too.

6 Years Ago Today....

Last night, I remember spending that night 6 years ago on my sisters floor because we were putting up family--having a bed again was just one of the MANY reasons I was very excited for this day, 6 years ago. I can't believe it has been 6 years since I married this wonderful man in the Temple! What a dream come true- sometimes life gets crazy busy with little kids hopping around needing their faces and hands washed, but I don't regret it for a moment! It really is everything I wished for and how lucky I am to have such a good man at my side! I love you Douglas Scott!
Someone, After Six Years
By Lydia Romney Stewart

I blink and six years so quickly pass by
Bring me a husband, and babies that cry
Give me a warm hand to hold in the night
Give me a child to snuggle so tight

Bring me a friend so good to provide
Someone in whom I can always confide
Someone who shares the same dreams as me
A small house, adventures, our own family

Someone who knows all of my flaws
Someone who loves me, at times, without cause
Beyond imperfections, sees what is good
Gently encourages, just as he should

Someone who answers all of my questions
Someone who patiently take my suggestions
Even when I am not very clear
He listens to all that I want him to hear

Someone to laugh with, so hard I could cry
Someone who sees when I really do try
To be that “Someone” he dreamed of, too
A friend to grow old with, a love that is true

So after six years, I’m really quite sure
That I love that “Someone” many times more
And after six years, I’ll re-commit
To be the “Someone” that’s his perfect fit

There comes a time...

When your husband is trying new hair styles out for you in his spare time-- I figure that is a very good indication that it is time for a trim. :) He e-mailed this to me with the subject title "Hair We Are." Isn't he the funniest? He cracks me up sometimes. (When he saw me posting this, Doug wanted me to make it quite clear that this is not a very accurate sampling of his photoshop skills. He whipped this up in about 5 minutes or less. And that this is not his "typical" spare-time behavior. :) I think the elf one is my favorite- don't I look just Lord Elrond of Rivendale or Legolas? No doubt that was what he was going for. :) Anyhoo- I got a haircut from my cute visiting teacher! I'm afraid I'm a bit more conservative then his sampling would indicate, but I have been really happy with it. It has been about a year! I always wonder after I cut it why I waited to so long. Maybe it is because it inspires such masterpieces from Doug. :)

A Walk Through Town...

Look at the cute little doll- just pedaling her little heart out! It makes me smile just to think about her- they beg me to let them go on a bike ride pretty much everyday. We took a fun walk through town to run some errands. It was so nice to get out. Don't I live in a cool town?! I think it is starting to grow on me (after two years). There are just some really cool places- I need to get out like this more often, because it makes me appreciate it more! There is a little play structure right in the middle of the city and the kids had a fun "pit-stop" there. Seth went nuts! He is loving the outdoors! I open the door and he is gone! I'm going to have to keep him on a leash. :)

Spring Photo-shoot

The kids and I had so much fun one warm afternoon- we headed to the Arboretum for a photo shoot. (Grandma set new matching shirts for Amberlee's birthday, and that was my inspiration.) Don't we live on such a beautiful earth! I have been so ready for spring! It just felt SO GOOD to breath in the fresh air and observe new LIFE!! I love these kids- I love looking through pictures-- it just makes me love when I see how cute they are! :)
Amberlee saw me taking all the pictures. She begged me to let her have a turn too. :) She took this one of me, and I thought she did a good job!
But admittedly, most of them looked like this...

Spring Photoshoot

Seth was tough to take pictures of-- either he was "on the lamb" so they were action shots or he was eating bark. :) He kept crawling in such a funny way- he would back kick with his leg. Doug said he was just marking his territory. :)
He was NOT OK with me keeping him in the stroller- he wanted in on the action.
