Grandpa D and Bar J Wranglers…

IMG_3757

Grandma Nana got a hold of Brigham and gave him a “Grandpa Delos” hair-do.  I’m thinking he does his Great Grandpa proud with that little bit of wave in there.  Aren’t family genes amazing?!

Momma and Poppa Stewart took us to Bar J Wranglers in Jackson.  It was SO FUN!  (Big thanks to Mom and Dad for babysitting!)  We enjoyed a yummy dinner and very funny entertainment.  We had some great laughs and felt very lucky to get to go!

Doug and I got a nice “Bear Hug” while we were there. :)

We went early and got some great seats.  So glad we went- thanks Stewarts!

Born to Ride…

This little boy was born to ride. He doesn’t do a ton of talking, but when it counts he will, and he really put up a fight when we reached up to take him off the horse. “Want more ride, peas.” Grandpa Scott talked about how his dad used to climb up on the fence, feed the horse something and slip down over his neck to hop on for a ride when he was just a bit older than Seth. I can really picture Seth doing something like that in the near future.

Uncle Doug was so sweet with the kids!

Poor Autumn was so sick most of the time. Autumn and Amberlee had strep throat, but Autumn’s infection settled in her lymph nodes and she wasn’t able to move her head and her neck was all swollen. She did a lot of sleeping.

Doug went shooting with his mom and dad. I think they had some fun. Doug and I have been watching “Top Shot” on Netflix, and I have to admit that shooting is starting to seem pretty cool. (I never dreamed I would say that, considering the first time I shot a gun, I was sobbing.)

CHECK OUT THIS AWESOME TREE HOUSE! Isn’t this just what you would have wished for as a kid? Well, Grandpa Scott made the dreams come true. Grandma even hung curtains and put down carpet. They put a cute little doll house inside and the kids were seriously in heaven. They asked if they could move in permanently, and we're considering it. :)

Light Up The Night…

We got to celebrate the 4th with a few fireworks, courtesy of Uncle Doug and his crew- they had an eager audience.  It was pretty low key, but really fun.  The kids always enjoy the sparklers… and ALWAYS get burned… but it’s all in the name of fun, right?

We had a fun little BBQ a day or two later with my fam where we lit a few sparklers.  Grandpa’s always got a ready stash of sparklers and ground flowers.  I love it!

Uncle Jon has quite the adoring croud and he is MORE than patient about it.

Baby Brigham’s Blessing…

IMG_0919

We were able to celebrate our independence and freedom to worship in such a wonderful way this 4th of July! We blessed our sweet little Baby Briggy under the apple tree at Doug’s parents. It was a beautiful day and a beautiful blessing. He is a special boy with a special mission- we are so thankful to welcome him into our family!

IMG_3651

Check out this impressive line up of worthy priesthood holders that were all there to help bless our baby! It was neat to be able to do this right after the reunion.

I was grateful to have some family support from my side. Mom and Dad were there, and Bethany and Jonathon came with their cute crew.

IMG_3669

This is cute little cousin Ezra- he’s just about 2 months older. I think they will be good buddies. It was pretty special to see them together. (Thanks little Ezra, for letting Brigham borrow your special blessing outfit- that was very nice of you! Much better then the onesie we had lined up. :)

I just love how relaxed he was- I think that hot suit just knocked him out.

Brigham’s been blessed, and WE ARE TRULY BLESSED to have the little love chub!

The Olson Reunion (as last!)

I’m basically a month behind on posts, so I’m finally getting around to a big post about our fun Olson reunion over the 4th of July that Grandma Helen was in charge of organizing. We enjoyed camping, cousins, AMAZING FOOD and so much more! She and Grandpa did an amazing job of putting together such a fun time!

Grandpa did Dutch oven chicken that was superb!

We snuck in a fun water fight- Amberlee and cousin Dominick were ruthless. :)

IMG_3535

Brigham was in HEAVEN! There was no shortage of sweet people to hold him.

The kids were VERY helpful with breakfast. :) They cracked over three dozen eggs.

Autumn is so fearless! She was holding snakes and taking on rocky cliffs. Is there anything that can stop this brave little person?!

The guys all got a fun football game going. Doug tore his calf muscle really bad, but thankfully it has healed up quickly.

No camp-out is complete with out some yummy s’mores.

Poor Seth got eaten alive by mosquitoes, but he still had a blast!

As you can see, we were all pretty beat by the end of all this fun. :)
