Sunrise, Sunset...

The year truly does "swiftly fly" as the song says.  I can't even believe it's December!

I was just listening to the kids play in their room together so cute.  I love those moments when they are getting along and being creative together.  Makes a mom happy.  They make messes, but its worth it when they are all happy and getting along!

They are lucky to have a fun dad who plays with them, too.

And we're lucky to live at a place with some fun playground equipment that encourages "playing".

And a hot tub we have enjoyed taking advantage of.

Brig keeps finding the Halloween candy hiding places. :)

My little organizer.

She got to come with me to class one day and she was pretty tickles I hung her picture up.  She was a big helper.

Doug and the boys headed to Rexburg for a weekend while I stayed home for a RS activity presentation and a church talk.  They were quite excited to go....

I think they had a blast, but I have to say, so did we. :)
It was almost surreal having so much time to myself.  Honestly it was quite therapeutic... and that's not to say I don't love my boys or being a mom.  It was just nice to have a moment to myself.  I went hiking and felt like a new person when I came down from the mountain. :)

I found a quiet place to read scriptures and ponder.  It was wonderful!

I also stopped in at a fun restaurant supply store that I would never take kids to. It was quite a lovely day.

And that weekend, the girls and I loaded up the bikes for a really fun bike-ride along the greenbelt.  We covered some good distance and biked to Joe's Crab Shack for dinner.  It was so much fun.  I love these cute girls.  They are speedy- I struggled to set a pace they were satisfied with. :)

The food was delicious and it was quite an adventure traveling back in the dark- I had my pepper spray in hand and we nearly hit a raccoon.  Amberlee was having a hard time seeing in the dark and it was so cute to watch Autumn assume the role of her personal tour guide.  We had a blast and quite wore ourselves out.

But not enough to skip the fingernail painting and the slumber party in mom's bed.  "We didn't get much sleep, but we had a lot of fun." :)  We giggled the night away.  Thank heaven for little boys.
And I don't mean to sound like we didn't miss the boys... they add a much needed  balance to our lives.  It was nice to have them back.  The family wouldn't be complete without them.
